„A cultural treasure of this prominence needs attention in a museum!“ According to this credo, the Vienna Coffee Museum was founded in 2003 as part of the Gesellschafts & Wirtschaftsmuseum. It covers the entire history of the brown bean and provides extensive insights into the world-renowned „Viennese coffee house culture“, meanwhile honored as UNESCO World Heritage. The museum is both an information center and an experience, with historical and contemporary exhibits. Here you can learn everything about coffee – from the harvest to the steaming cup.
The Viennese coffee house remains a meeting place and communication center for people in the city, an oasis of peace and relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here you can sit, wait, live, read, chat, discuss, play, flirt and dream with a small brown coffee and a glass of water. In short: feel good!

Get to know the renowned Vienna Coffee Museum and schedule a guided tour for an „Coffee Experience“ in a charming coffee house atmosphere (minimum 10 people, Monday to Friday and by appointment only). You should plan on approximately 90 minutes for the „Coffee Experience“ in the Coffee Museum.
